CHIDO PAMELA MAFONGOYA

Chido obtained her Bachelor of Laws degree from Wits University, South Africa, where she graduated cum laude in 2014. She spent the next year studying for the Zimbabwean equivalent of bar admission exams for foreign trained graduates, which she passed in 2015, and was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of Zimbabwe in 2016.

Between 2015 and 2017, Chido undertook an internship at the Chambers, Harare, where she sharpened her research skills while assisting counsel in the chambers, with legal research and drafting of pleadings. At the start of 2018, Chido commenced pupillage in the same chambers. As a Pupil Advocate, Chido immersed herself in legal practice as she now undertook case preparation and argument in the Superior Courts.

In a quest to broaden her practical knowledge and skill in legal practice, Chido left the Chambers in late 2018, to join the law firm of Mushoriwa Pasi Corporate Attorneys, Harare, as an Associate. As an Associate, Chido was further widened her grounding in all aspects of private practice.
Chido left Mushoriwa Pasi Corporate Attorneys in December, 2019, to embark on post graduate studies with the University of the Western Cape commencing in early 2020. She specialized in International Trade, Investment and Business Law.
